Google Analytics Conversion Tracking - Increase Accuracy with utm_nooverride=1 url

Do you depend on Google Analytics to track goal conversions? Recently we came across a very interesting tidbit directly from Google. Check out this video

So if you counting on Google Analytics Goal Conversion tracking and are you using 3rd party campaigns (adwords, yahoo, etc) make sure to append utm_nooverride=1 url to the tracking urls. Google claims that your original campaign will receive credit in analytics for producing a conversion.

Omniture Launches Facebook Application Analytics for Brands

Omniture has launched a new tool to measure the success of Facebook Applications.  This tool would be a part of Omnitures popular analytics solution Site Catalyst.

Facebook has become really big in the online marketing space and more and more companies are establishing their presence through Facebook Applications. Application (commonly abbreviated as "app") Measurement for Facebook would allow these brands to find information about their app in respect to how many members they have, which are the most popular parts od the app, video sharing, friends invitation and similar figures that are critical to understand the success for the Facebook app.

While SEO and SEM has always shows measurable results, the relatively young phenomena of social media has always been notoriously difficult to measure. App Measurement for Facebook is sure to be a blessing for thousands of marketers who are trying to capitalize on huge potential of 200 million active Facebook users.

With App Measurement for Facebook,  SiteCatalyst users can measure the popularity and success of Facebook applications using the analytics, segmentation, and reporting capabilities that the product already boasts.

The users can access a number of  Facebook application reports from the Dashboard. Brands and marketers can actually segment their users by the number of friends they have, and view the social activities — invites, shares, fans, comments, and login frequency — performed by each user segment.
